6．Flap Discs
The main abrasive coatings : Aluminium oxide, Silicon carbide.
Sizes : Dia100mm,115mm,125mm,150mm,180mm.
Availability of Grits: 36 to 400 in Aluminium oxide, Silicon carbide Grits up to 120mm in Zirconia Flap Disc
Uses: Products for removing weld trimmings, for use on normal and alloy steels, non-ferrous metals and their alloys, aluminium
Flap discs are designed for use on portable grinders and sanders , and are an increasingly popular alternative to sanding discs. They may even become the preferred option to depressed centre grinding discs , especially on light gauge sheet metal or stainless steel where the finished important. These new discs are not only strong but also safe. Since no backing pad is required , you can fit them straight onto your machine.
Zirconia Aluminium flap discs with fiber glass backing have the DSA Approval.
The Aluminium Oxide and Zirconia Aluminium flap discs with plastic backing have the DSA Approval. We may supply the flap discs with your own label for the quantities over 100,000 in each order. Althouhg it works best ongently contoured or flat surfaces , the flap discs have overhanging cloth abrasive which extends beyond the backing plate .This means that the flap disc is more effective than a conventional sanding disc in sanding tight corners.
